The hockey challenge...

Okay, gang,

I just spent the better part of today putting together the summer league schedule for the Nations-Tobin Hockey League...I hereby challenge any league administrator, or, more appropriately, any rink operator to match this, let alone beat it:

Thirteen divisions of league play, each a separate league unto itself (642 player slots). Any player, any age, any skill level, is eligible to play in a minimum of four divisions, aimed at his or her individual abilities. Each division plays nine game dates per season. The player can participate in 35-45 games each three-month season, in a variety of game environments.

Travel trophy recognition, individual player statistics, The El Paso Hockey News, 45 hours weekly of scheduled, pick-up play free, tournament team play opportunities...

all this for $20 per player per season...that's 150-250 games of inline hockey per year for $80 per year...

To reiterate, I challenge any rink operator to match that...and my reason for being so blatant, is that I think it would be great for our sport if every rink operator would...

Are there any job openings at City of El Paso?! I need to move. Given how much Hockey Megan plays and the cost at our rink I have been afraid to put the number on paper. It would probably scare the he** out of me.

Good point - in fact with the hockey money most parents would save - El Paso may see a population boom unequalled in the last hundred years.
