Mission D1, by far the greatest
Mission skate ever made, and I've had all of them except for the Type M. I love my D1's, as I have said in many of my post;-)

    Re: The Best inline skate?

I beg to differ... G90 has better construction, better materials, better interior and better chassis than the D-1 and the D-limited (read: purefly with new laces).

And yes, I've skated on all three. The D-limiteds have been around here for about a month now.. there are about 5 guys at my local rink with them. They're snazzy looking for sure... but that's about where it ends for me.

Mission has yet to do anything to top that "aqua-fit" of Tour's G series. That neoprene on the inside of the entire boot is freakin' genius.

I shudder to think what mission would charge for D-90s if they were selling them... they'd probably sell for like $700.

I've used both as well, I originally bought the G90's then sold them to my brother when the D1's came out and have enjoyed them slightly over the G90's. Its a difference of opinions, but I think we can at least agree they are both good skates.

I'm just curious, brand names put aside and all. Which one's is made to last AND which one has more value for money?

The carbon composite boot of the G-90 sounds promising in terms of life span. Does the D-1 & D-Limiteds have something like that?

They are the same price, have the same bearings, and same wheels. Tour and Mission both have durable 7000 series aluminum frames. In other words the difference comes down to the boot. I wont try to lie to you telling you that the D1 blows away the G90. I am biased towards mission and that what it comes down to, which brand you usually prefer, because they are different. Guys who like Tour, prefer it over Mission and vice versa. I like the D1 boot slightly over the G90's boot. Both are extremely comfortable but the D1's DNA on the boot wins out over the G90, thats just my opinion though. Either you chose, will give you an excellent skate in which you wont be dissapointed in.

I agree w/ everything else being the same except the boot. It's just that I'm kinda heavy, almost 200lbs. and I'd like to know which one would last longer? Does the carbon composite construction of the G-90 make a difference?

Because if it doesn't then I might as well get the Mission for it's brand recognition here in my area. (bragging rights) =)

I am like 6'2 175-180 lbs. and the D1's are holding up fine for me.
