NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
I hope next year that this event is in a nicer city as I think many people where not happy. Also the people running the tournament need to decide which end of the spectrum they are going to be on. Freinds of everyone or tournament director let's make the choice.

Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
you are right. philly is dull and there was nothing to do at the hotel. Chickypete's was it. The rink was really nice though.your other comment makes no sense. Are you not friends with one of the staff people, even your own regional director there? would you prefer the people running the event were not your friends? got me on that one. they are volunteers anyway so their friendships and time is genuine, unlike the event directors laughing to the bank after faking that they give a cr@p about hockey and your thoughts.
Do you have narchs staffs home pphn numbers? Ever eat dinner over tony torhs home? ever have an event director pay personally pay for your hotel so your parents could see you play, or how about pick you up and drive you to an event? i just don't get you man.

Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
I tend to agree with CheckMate, I wasn't an NCT Staff member, but I know many of them well. These people drove themselves insane the last few weeks organizing the event. All in all, I found the event to be excellent overall. The games were mostly all close, fun to watch, intense, and well structured. Maybe next year we just need to make it clear that goaltenders should not Armour All their pads when they are going to be playing on Sport Court, one of the few major obstacles of the weekend.
I have to offer "Mad Props" to the NCT V Staff, it was a great event, and I look forward to attending many NCTs to come.
As for the staff, aren't they entitled to have some fun at the event? Most of the staff is long past their college years, and only do it for love of the game.

Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Oh and how great did the rink look!? I was there 3 weeks ago, and rink 2 had no locker rooms, I come back, and the rink was transformed! The new locker rooms are a nice size, the CRHL logos at Center Ice looked great, and the rink was as clean as any i have been in. USA Hockey Inline and CRHL proved to be a great pair, as this event was truly a first rate production, complete with online radio broadcasts of some of the games, Action Photos, free Red Bull, and some great manufacturers who attended the event!
ps... and how cool is pointstreak?

Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
checkmate,
i 100 % completely agree with what you have to say, and my theory is this.
the last couple of years i have had the experience of a lifetime playing with a community college (elgin community college) and then the likes of a big 10 school. i have seen its ups and downs as far as the playing contends, but the memories that i will always pass down are the memories from hanging out with all the other teams and directors. this game that is so uniquely different than that of basketball or soccer, has its positive characteristics over any other NCAA status sport. Where can you go and hang out with league directors, have fun, and at the same time, stay on a professionaly level. They are there (MO's) to make sure that youre getting the experience of a lifetime. and for total rollerhockey to say that the directors are out to get ya, is beyond me. they are there for your liking, and the best thing that i can remember is the bondage that the directors and players had back in the day. now that premier and competetive have completely separated, i do miss the "hugely combined" NCT, but ill suck it up and move on. if you (totalrollerhockey) has an issue, talk to your MO as im sure he would happily help you out as would any other MO across the country. not only that, but i would do anything to help any player out. meaning if i had to house the entire Premier team at my APT next fall, so be it...and man would it be a heck of alot of fun........

Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
As for the insult to the city of Philadelphia, keep in mind that you were not in Philadelphia at the rink, you were in Feasterville, Pa. And, although you were close to the Philadelphia border, it was Northeast Philadelphia, which is nothing like downtown. You were close to 45 minutes away from downtown, but if you had ventured out one night you would have had a wonderful time at the restaurants, bars, and general atmosphere of center city Philadelphia. Granted that the rink and hotels were not in the brightest of neighborhoods, but it's where the rink is located, nothing can be done about that.

Re: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Yes, I must say that I agree totally with Ben. Feasterville is a nice facility, but by far out of all the places to play in Philly, I hate going there just because of the 30 minute or so ride it takes me to get there. Now, perhaps if I was appointed official NCT V Nightlife Director, I could have pointed out a few choice destinations for all the players.
