I have just picked up on the game of roller hockey because I love ice hockey so much and her in louisville we don't have ice hockey leagues I would like to know if you guy's could give me some drills to practice that would improve my speed and stopping also need to work on my stick handleing I have looked for books but have been unsuccesful

USA hockey offers a great video series on Roller Hockey. you can get the info on the USA Hockey web page. Nike also makes a great training series. (they are books not videos though) you can get those on the Canadian hockey association web page. its www.canadianhockey.ca I think.

The best roller hockey book I've ever come across is "Winning Roller Hockey" by Dave Easter and Vern Stenlund. It's published by Human Kinetics. Easter and Stenlund are both heavily involved in the sport. Easter is a manager of inline hockey for the Canadian Hockey Association, and Stenlund has a lot of connections with Huron Hockey School.
This book is one of the best ROLLER HOCKEY SPECIFIC drill books I've found. Check it out!

Hello,
I would have to second the opinion on "WINNING ROLLER HOCKEY".... I own the book and in my opinion it is the definitive resource on roller hockey drills. I've used a whole stack of Post-It notes on the book itself.
