Re: coach needed for team in pittsburgh
Sorry, not a coach, just curious...what other pittsburgh area high schools have roller hockey teams. I graduated in '98 and the sport was still pretty much unheard of in my area (South Pittsburgh)

Re: coach needed for team in pittsburgh
I dont know if you have ever heard of the ISLAND SPORTS CENTER or not, but its a great facility that was built just recently on Neville Island. They have 2 outdoor inline courts with year round play. Last Year they decided to start the WPHSIHL (Wester Pennsylvania High School Inline Hockey League). There were only a few schools that participated, but this year the league swelled. Schools participating were Seneca Valley, North Alleghenny, Fox Chapel, Perry, Hampton, Shaler, Cannon MacMillan, Avonworth/Northgate, Vincentian Academy, West Alleghenny, Deer Lakes, Montour, South Fayette, Sto-Rox and Moon. The winter league, which i am seeking a coach for, is expected to grow even more. Inline Hockey has really picked up around here, especially with the building of the sports center. If you want to go to their website its www.iscenter.com If u want any more info i'd be glad to supply it.

Re: coach needed for team in pittsburgh
Before i get too involved with the details, I must tell you that it is a non-paying job. We are seeking a coach who lives in the pittsburgh area and would like to help our team for 4 hours a week(2 hours for practice, and two hours for the game). If you want more information my email address is [email protected]. Thankyou for your interest.

Re: coach needed for team in pittsburgh
Yeah, I play at ISC now. That's where my team practices, I play for U of Pittsburgh. Good luck on finding a coach.
Oh, you know how they took one of the two semi-outdoor rinks and iced it over for winter...well rumor has it that that's where Mario has been skating!

Re: coach needed for team in pittsburgh
That's what one of the employees told me today. Just curious, but what kinda wheels do you use. Because my wheels slip when i make hard turns (76A). Im thinking it has to do with all that dust on the court.

Re: coach needed for team in pittsburgh
I use normal labeda grippers (the white ones rated soft) and they are awesome on every court I've played on so far.
