Wheels for heavier guys
Was wondering if anyone had recomendations for a good indoor wheel for a guy that weighs 195-205. I have found the 76A a little too soft and mushy like skating against resistance. Mainly used the Formula G's in the past, but since there are a ton of adult leagues around I figured i would get some feedback on what others in that weigh6t range have been successful with before the next change
Thanks

Re: Wheels for heavier guys
I weight around 200 myself, and I've used the Labeda Gripper Millenium without any problems. They stick well and it's easier to accelerate.

Re: Wheels for heavier guys
In General, the heavier you are, the higher of a durometer wheel you will need to use. IE, if the 150lb skinny kid is using 76A's, you might want to use something more like 78 or 80A wheels. Im around 180, and Im using the Labeda Gripper's and Gripper Snappers....they work fine, and i tend to destroy wheels.

I am at #210 as of now(losing fast)..I just got some Primewheels.. I am using 3 of the chem 10's and 1 gluon(74A) for the very front, as was suggested by someone else... I will be playing Sunday and I will let you know how they are...laters, j-bo

Re: Wheels for heavier guys
WOW!!! i said I would report on these Primewheels....Keeping it kinda short..I skated MUCH faster and could stop and turn on a dime!! These wheels are awesome... Granted this is the 1st time on them and I won't have any idea on wear yet, but I can say I love them. I haven't been able to turn hard without sliding out in awhile, well tonight was no problem and with my new found confidence in being able to stop and turn I had a few new moves to use tonight. Well.. that's my take on these wheels. Again, I am 210# and these wheels were FAST! and GRIPPY. Hope ya'll try some, I bought them direct at www.primewheels.com for only 3.90 per wheel on a special..regular 8.50 .. what a STEAL! laters, j-bo
