Question for missionhockey21

I read where you replaced your vibe chassis with a labeda sensor. Are the fastener hole patterns the same for the two? Did you replace it yourself or did you take it to a local pro shop? If you replaced it yourself, what tools did you use to remove the old chassis and then mount the new? Thanks.

my old missions have held four chassis now...the original chassis I had to take to the shoe repair shop, and have the rivets pulled professionally. I have drilled new holes and used flathead, machine bolts and nuts to hold the subsequent three chassis on perfectly...never had any problem with looseness, etc...I was also able to "customize" the position of the chassis, about 5 degrees askew from the center line, and back toward the heel about a centimeter, both of which gives me more push without having to turn my foor quite as sideways, ya know...

did have to experiment with drill bit sizes, and screwdriver positioning, to get the first set of bolts tightly into the footbed, but after the first time, it was easy...

Well, the holes are the same, I think, I'll check later to make sure. I didnt do it myself, I had a local proshop do it for me, I could had did it myself as I have worked in proshop learning that skill, but I didnt trust my work enough with $500 worth of skates But I have noticed no loosness in them, it has been a big improvement and I recommend the sensor. Sorry I couldnt help you more.

I'd recommend a Pro Shop to do it if you've never done it.

As far as the holes lining up, it's really not a concern. I bought '03 Mission Purefly Skates, took off the ice hockey frame and replaced it with an '02 Generator Chassis (non-vibe). The holes don't line up, so new holes were drilled and the chassis is held on with copper rivets now, no problems yet....
