Easton or Mission

Which one piece graphite shaft do most of you use the easton synergy or the mission. I was looking at the mission at winternationals and was thinking about getting one when I got some money. I was wondering what everyone elsa thought about them before i dish out that kind of money.

I've never used the Mission but the Synergy isn't that great. I used one once and broke it on my first shift with it. Maybe it was a bad batch but I've heard of other people breaking them often but look at the warranty and you can get it replaced if you still have a receipt for your stick you can get it replaced. I'm not sure about the Mission warranty. Pesonally I like the Response and the Tri-flex. I've heard good things about Branches one-peice also.

I dont give a damn what the Mission Rep at NARCh Winternationals says... The M1 feels HEAVIER than the Easton Synergy, Louisville Response, and CCM Vector...

The M1 is very heavy, in comparison to other one piece shafts. I personally like the Respsonse, its lightweight and durable. Plus I have found them at good prices.

My Synergy broke after a month of use

The triflex is a pretty good stick. The blade is cracked but it is still as good as the first day I got it. Gotta love Bauer's return policy for the most part, they have been clutch for me. No stick is indestructable, and for the most part, prob not worth the amount of money everyone spends on them. Anyone else use Bauer?

I own a pro shop so I've tried just about everything out the when it comes to composites. I look for lightness and a solid stick that doesnt compensate accuracy, out of my experience, I still say the Bauer Tri-flex is the best of all.. I actually still like the easton cyclone w/ a bauer white ash blade.. lightest shaft, lightest blade, only problem w/ them is durability, I have to replace the blade about every time I skate or 2.. overall, Bauer Tri-Flex

I use bauer.. I'll never change my game stick.. I try other stuff all the time.. but only in practice etc.. only trust bauer tri-flex on game day..I feel ya

Louiville Response, bar-none. personally, I like the Genesis whip-flex.

heard very good things about each of the mission, louisville, ccm, and easton...I own a synergy that is now four years old, the shaft is practically black as almost all the silver paint has been knocked off...I am, however, on my third blade: when the original broke, just cut off the ragged shaft edge, stuck in a z-carbon, and away we go, just like any other shaft...I do not have any experience with any of the other models as to whether they can do the same...in reading all the other guys posts, I note preferences, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of 'em...to be fair, and apologies to Missin and Tour when it comes to skates, Easton has obviously spent more on R&D than all the others put together, at least on the composite stick category of equipment...

I've never tried to put a blade on a synergy, does it fit in the synergy like a normal shaft? If it does I will put my extra carbon blade in.

I know you cant cut down the synergy grip.. its tapered where the blade starts so if you cut it, the blade wont fit in it. You'd have to flip it and put the blade in the other end and hold the thinner end.. not good, shaft wasnt made to do that

yep, I flipped the stick, placing the replacement blade into the former (or original?) butt-end...the butt-end plug then went into the cut-off end very well...

I am very curious, though, as to why you feel that this doesn't work...

no kidding, I bought the thing in '99, and everybody in the whole city knows it's my stick, 'cause it's so old...I admit I don't hit the puck with staggering force, but hey, it really seems to be working...I still contend that anybody else can do it too. Don't have any trouble with balance, flex, grip, or anything else...for the sake of information, maybe you could share what you mean by "wasn't meant to do that..."

I use the M-1 but my problem is that I have broken 6 already and I just started using them in November. But hey they are free so I can't complain..
