    Mission Purefly = Thumbs Up!

Since this IS the product review section.... heh

Got my new Mission Purefly skates the other night, fitted them with an '01 Mission Generator chassis, and lemme tella ya.... the bot is absolutely awesome, and the chassis is as good as any out there. The boot itself is stiff as hell where you need it, yet it's really flexible and doesn't restrain movement at all...... dunno how, but they're freakin amazing

I'm definitely happy I bought these babies instead of saving for the D-Limited..... sure I ended up paying a liiiiiittle more... but for the quality of em, it was worth it.

Deleware Valley Hockey Supply in Bristol PA. I had some gift certificates for there from Christmas, which helped a LOT in the pricing. I ended up getting the skates for $375, got them heat baked, the Mission blades were removed, and I supplied the chassis for the shop (who did a damn good job of installing them correctly.)

www.missionrh.com if you want to check out the skate specs. I'll tell ya what though, I just might pick up another pair for ice hockey as well, these skates kick ass.

nah not sure.... it's got the new 'DNA' technology however, same as in the D-1. I talked to a few people however, and it seems as if the PureFly, being an Ice Hockey boot, is built for a little more wear, and offers more comfort than the D-Limited. Once again, only what I've heard......

Thanks, I am real curious just to try out the D limited boot after all I heard about it.

Does anyone have any feedback on how the lacing works on the new Mission D1's. The loop hole design looks insteresting. My concern would be if the laces stay tight or tend to loosen up with this design?
Also, any other feedback on these D1's (not limited edition) would be greatly appreciated.
    thanks

The D-Limited is based on the Pure-Fly. The D-limited is a bit stiffer than the Purefly, due to the fact that more torque is put on a Roller boot. This was the decision of the Roller players that tested numerous test versions of the D-limited. The D-Limited and Pure-Fly weigh almost the same. The D-limited has some additional wear patches for added durability.

Overall the skates are very similar. The biggest benefit the D-limited have is the DNA lacing system.

This system allows for the boot to wrap around the foot, which provides a better and more comfortable fit.

So far the lacing system has worked very well for me on the D-1's. The laces tend to stay very tight and the boot almost conforms to your foot so overall it works out very nicely. Also the loop holes are much sturdier than what they appear to be in pictures of the skates.
