    USA hockey Age breakdowns

I am looking for the girls age breakdowns. I am putting together 2 girls tournament teams and I need to know how USA Hockey does their age breakdowns. Are they the same as ice or different?? Any info would be great. The web page was useless when i looked it up.

Any Girls between 11 and 15 that are interested in playing in New HAmpshire and are willing to travel ALOT please contact me at [email protected].

    Re: USA hockey Age breakdowns

present USA Hockey Inline Rule Book dictates two age groups: 8-12, and 13-17,,,through the Regionals/Nationals in Summer 2003, this means those girls born in 1994-90 play "12's," and those born 1985-89 can play "17's." For Nationals, individual exceptions (girls born in 90, or 91, for example, might be allowed to play "up" into the 17's. You would have to petition USAHIL for each individual situation.

Also note that girls are allowed to play coed into the "boys" divisions, and that they get to play down an entire division in age eligibility.

Current two-year rule book expires end of this hockey year...rules might change for 2004.

Any girl who qualified was allowed to play in two divisions at Nationals last year: one with the boys, and one with the all-girls' teams divisions. We anticipate the same this year.

also note that girls 13 & older can play in the Women's division at the USA Hockey Inline Cup in Las Vegas in September. As the age determination date is the "coming" year for this tournament, the "the Adult Nationals," in 2003, girls born in 1990 or earlier can play.

Which all means, this year anyway, that young ladies born in the years 1985-90 could, in theory, participate in three USA Hockey Inline Nationals this year.

The Polar Bears (Girls' 12's, Girls 17's, Co-ed 10's, Co-ed 12's, and Girls/Women 13&O's) look forward to meeting and playing with all of you at this year's events.
