    Which skates to choose

I am going to order a pair of skates from the net hopefully by tomorrow, but I need some help, I know which skates I think I should buy, but I am not sure, which one of these should I go for in your opinion:

    Bauer Vapor 3 rocker
    Nike Quest 2 rocker
    Nexed stinger 2 degree
    Tour 962

They would all be for more or less the same price.

I would go with the tour 962, then the nexed stinger. Both are good deals if you can find them on sale.

    Re: Which skates to choose

I have a bias based on my son's increased performance using the Nexed Stingers 2 degree - (although I have them as well -I would not base any decision on my performance lol)They turn quicker and sem to have more bite than any of the other hi/lo's we have tried. When you lean into a turn, the slight offset seems to allow you to turn on two wheels instead of four for faster response, but there is still enough floor contact not to lose grip. My son who plays MLRH has used them for 18 months and still feels they are the best he has ever used - including the 962's which he had previously, but with a Volcanix chassis mounted to it - he liked that better than the original set up. He has tried various rocker set ups and hasn't found any he likes as well as the 2 degree Stingers. He has skated on various Missions, Tours, Grafs with Labeda chassis and also with the Volcanix chassis as well as CCM 952's with Labeda chassis. If you can find any where to try them - give them a chance - the old V- Form's hurt the sales of these skates - but they are very light and very quick. We have a rink owner near here with a pair of size 10.5's for $250.00 - but they are not too easy to find - I know I just bought mine last week.

I just realised that I might have enough money to get the tour G-90, do you think this is a better better choice considering they are double the price and I am not going to be able to try any of these skates on.

Ok I have definitely been sold on the tours, the only question is should I get the 962 for 150 or the G-90 for 350? (the stingers seem to maybe not be such a good choice considering I can't try them on, they look very stiff.)

Id say it depends really on how much you play. If you dont really play alot, Id go with the 962 they are very very duriable last at least a cpl years. But if you have the loot for the g-90 go for it. awsome skate, Either way you cant go wrong. But I would say tour seem to run a little big, so maybe knock half a size down from what you would normally get.
