they are WAY different, I feel the same was as you feel on tours when I try missions.. just a matter of habit / preference I think. I cant live w/ out tours.. the G-90's are awesome

I wear an 8 1/2 in the G-90's and the overhang is a big reason I love tour, I cant skate on mission because Im used to that chassis overhang on the front, I got used to it, it helps w/ acceleration in my opinion.
ok.. I own a store, I for the past 7-8 years have done nothing but swear by all of tour's products and how great they are etc.. I would never wear another product.. until now.. I am just opening my store and TOUR is terrible about responding to you on anything.. It's really discouraging.. I love the product but, im not going to push a product that has poor cust support. I was going to carry nexed skates but they folded, looks like mission now. You would think Tour would be interested in having their product be my only skate manufacturer in my store beings there is no indoor rinks other than mine in NM w/ the exception of Albq. Doesnt make sense.. looks like we'll be a mission dominant area.. oh well
Hi, new mexico/phoenix dude...
help me out here: please share with us exactly where your new NM rink is going up: it isn't a big state and you are my proximate next door neighbor (to us in El Paso)...while I assume indoor, is there anything special about it you can share with us...
from your earlier posts, you are obviously familiar with the sport on a regional/national level.
As the proprieter of the new rink in El Paso, to open in June/July, I am VERY interested in your facility, programs, levels of interplay opportunities, etc...

Hi Superstar9,
Did Nexed actually fold? I heard that they had a booth at Let's Play Hockey, but it was rarely manned, and there wasn't much product in it. True?

hey rich
nexed is now owned by bogieyavic the former la blade, he was at the booth at the hockey show.
Yeah I was wondering the same thing, I checked nexed/v-forms website and there is no mention of the company folding.
I carried Nexed and I went to place a new 2003 order and nexed told me I had to contact sportsgiant (hockeygiant) because they were handling everything now. I then contacted my nexed rep who is still my itech rep as well and he told me they basically folded and hockeygiant bought the rest of their product. One less choice for skates out there now, w/ the fold of nexed and gear now, its gettin limited as to which skates are our there. I still wear tour but, Im tired of them due to poor customer service. They're impossible to contact. Does anyone happen to know who the rep is in the SW? If not, Im probably gonna make mission my primary skate in my store. Really sucks because I've never worn anything but tour. Gonna have to get used to mission, cant sell one product and wear another.. not a luxury you have when you own a store in your own rink.
you're opening a rink in june/ july in el paso? Great.. that's gonna hurt a little beings at the moment there isnt a big rink in el paso. Oddly enough, the rink is being built in Las Cruces so, you weren't lyin when you said "next door neighbors" I'm currently in Phoenix, Im from Delaware but, moving back to cruces on thursday. I moved to Phoenix in december to play for the team here but seperated my shoulder, no reason to hang out here now. If you want, call me or email me. [email protected] OR 602-595-5044.. Your rink is not something I've heard anything about, It's (not to offend) not good news to me but, I'm sure you understand why knowing the geographical area. We are looking at an opening date of mid to late march, indoor facility, great location in Cruces (Lohman exit)
Chris:
great to hear your reply...frankly, I, too am amazed that I have heard nothing about your endeavor as well...and I have all the premier skaters from NMSU as well as Las Cruces youth ranks playing with us here in El Paso (some of these kids commute 4-5 days every week!) We certainly welcome you to the neighborhood!
I will e-mail you in depth later today...by coincidence, I gotta go to a construction meeting this morning...I am at [email protected], or [email protected], or (915)534-0254 (our current rink), in the afternoons/evenings...catch you later today...

I recently picked up a pair of the G-90's and was not impressed. They were the stiffest boot I have ever tried on.
Needless to say I returned them. I am back to Mission.
Was I missing something with all the buzz about the Tour G-90's?
I thought they were pretty comfortable actually. But I like mine D1's better though. I think they are both great skates, it just depends on your preference.
definetly mission for me. i've had missions ever since i've started playing.
