    Bearings and Stuff

Just wondering. Been playing Inline for quite a while and am still kinda mystified with how to maintain these bearings. I go through a ton of bearings every year for my outdoor skates and was wondering if there's anyway to make them last longer before they start making those irritating clicking noises and vibrations.

And as for my indoors, they just keep getting all grimy and stuff so i just keep wiping them with a rag. But someone told me that its bad to wipe them cuz it will take away the grease or whatever lubricant they use. Also it pushes the dirt inside the bearing causing more damage than good. Is all that true?

Just a bit confused =) Any info, tips, etc would be much appreciated. =)

Get some Sonic citrus cleaner or their bearing washer. I have both and it keeps my bearings running smooth

SKF greensheild bearings are without a doubt the best bearing I ever came across. They are maintenance free and are sealed by a green shield. My whole team was given a set each 4 years ago and are still rolling on them.... They are amazing. They were built for aggressive inline hockey. I don't know where in the USA they are available but here is my contact if this helps you... [email protected]
A set is about $80 Canadian. By the time you read this that's about $1.50 US .....Hope this helps
