Best Chassis on the market

I am looking for any information on the best chassis everyone thinks is on the market right now. If you have any suggestions and reasons why, I would appreciate it.

Im thinking of getting the red star E-frame, I saw on hockeymoney where they have a E-frame special edition? Anyone know anything about it? Is it worth getting? Should I just stick to the regular E-frame? Thanks

I no longer play competitively myself, but I still coach a bit, and my son plays for New Jersey Bullets of MLRH. He has skated on Labeda chassis', Red Star chassis(it has a very good reputaion one of the best most durable HI/LO chassis ever made), Volcanics chassis, and a variety of other chassis since he was 8 years old. The chassis he likes the most and which he uses now is the Nexed 2 degree chassis found on the Nexed Stingers. He found an immediate gain in acceleration and stopping ( we measures his lap times as 5% faster as soon as he put them on), and his turning and lateral movement improved as well. He has tried out two or three different rocker set ups and never liked them as well as his older traditional Hi/Lo chassis, particularily on a dusty or slippery floor where you may need the grip from all 4 wheels on the floor in order not to slide(of course you can make them work like traditional Hi/Lo's but what's the point then?). The 2 degree Stinger Chassis seems to turn even sharper than the rocker chassis, and seems to have better straight line push. Vince Mannetta of In-Stride Roller Hockey Schools (www.instridehockey.com) also plays for the NJ Bullets and has found the same thing - he just switched over from a rocker chassis to the two degree Stingers. My son was very skeptical at first before he tried them because he had tried the old V-Forms and didn't like them at all. We first tried these skates last year at a clinic we put on with Tony Zabo when he was still with Nexed, and he had some demo pairs with him. My son didn't like the 8 degree chassis as well, although he found they turned quick. Once he got to try the two degree Stingers he fell in love with them. It's not just the chassis, because the boot is super light and comfortable as well. Nexed may sell just the chassis, but you will have to check with them from their website. In my son's opinion the two degree Stingers are the best boot/chassis combination he has ever tried - and that includes a bunch of custom Graf/Labeda/RedStar combinations as well (PS even better when used with the new Hyper Trinities).

MDE3 - I must say that I read with interest your post re:Best Chassis on the market. Of particular interest was the information re:Vince Mannetta of In-Stride Roller Hockey Schools. Sadly, I attempted to visit the web site that you included in your post (http://www.instridehockey.com) and............ NOTHING. Is this informations current, outdated, or hypothetical ? Please let me know, I know a lot of people who are always looking for Roller Hockey skating programs for their kids.

sorry about the misinformation. The web site apparently is not up and running yet , but as far as I can tell the schools are being scheduled. Vince had some brochures which he handed around at the last practice and I assumend they were up and running and ready for business. I will call him and make sure that they are in fact ready. Then I will get back with you - sorry about that - they (Joe and Vince) seem to have a good thing going.

Sorry about the delay in responding - I wanted to talk with Vince first before giving you an answer. They are just starting up this program and the website is in progress and should be up and running soon. You can certainly contact Vince at 631 374 4563, or Joe Tamburino at 631 374 3191. It appears that they have now got Butch Goring involved in some capacity as well, but Vince or Joe can better inform you. I saw a preliminary brochure and maybe jumped the gun, but this is a very real program which they are developing and of great interest to me as well. Both would welcome any calls and be delighted to send you information.
