what do you think??
Hi Everyone,
New Zealand here. We have just had the AGM and to keep up with the rest of the world (ya right) it has been decided that we are know going to play off sides and icing. When we travel to oversea's competition that play by IIHF rules, I feel the teams have adjusted very quickly, but nevertheless it is going to be protocol down here from now on. Here is my question, the rinks here are small-- 20m x 40m (that's about 60' x 120') and that is a big rink, most are much smaller. How do you feel this is going to effect the game. I see the previous posting with regards to running a trap system. Would a 3 man trap at the center line prevent most teams from being able to carry the puck into the offensive zone. Sixty feet isn't really all that wide, so there is not a lot of skating room. How would some of you guys play it?? Offensively and defensively
Thanks in advance

Re: what do you think??
I would just shoot every time I touched the puck. 120'?? Thats two strides. Honestly, there's not enough room to run any type of system.
