NARCh & 5 most influential minds in inline hockey
NARCh really knows how to take care of the kids. The best arenas, the best competition, the best refs. This NARCh will in my opinion be the turning point of world inline hockey. NARCh TV made it possible for the games to be accessed throughout the world. The UK and Japan expanded the territory that NARCh covers. One NARCh statistic that bothered me was the fact that 95 teams came from California.
Thats 48 platinum and 47 gold. Michigan was the runner up with 33 total teams. I know the west coast is the birthplace of the sports boom but having more teams in a division then any other state, province or foreign country is unheard of. I also realize that the best talent comes out of California. There is really nothing that can be done about it other then build the strength of the eastcoast. Theres pockets in the Jersey, Long Island area, Buffalo and Niagra, florida, the Chesapeake Bay area and of course Pennsylvania home of the Yoders. Those areas will hopefully expand into what the west coast is now. All and all a good NARCh Finals. I got some kicks out of the bandwith boys on NARCh TV and next years finals should be 10x better then this one. While I'm on the topic, where do you think finals should be held next year. My vote is for Toronto.
On to my next subject. I've thought long and hard about this but I still have not been able to explain it to myself why I am making this list. For the simple fact that we dont even have a legit pro league with all the best talent bottled into one league so no one should really stand out as the superior mind. Anyway, I've comprised my list of the top 5 minds in roller hockey today. This is a rough copy of which the final will be posted in about a week. i still am not content with my number one ranking theres a few guys that I have in mind. Heres a rough copy of my list so far in no particular order.
Daryn Goodwin
Boyd Sutton
Mark Ellis aka Irish19
Joe Cooke
The Yoder Family
Shayne Arsenault
I'll post my final list with reasons in a week. Good luck to all the teams in AAU this week.
