this is hilarious
Ok I play travel and house hockey and this is what a teammate on my house team asked me- Why is it important to pass??? This is what I told him- Because then you dont look like a puck hog- then i explained to him why really the reason to pass is and I thought i would share it with you incase you ever need to tell a puck hog why to pass-because if you are coming in on a 2 on 1 with someone and u dont pass they can put more pressure on u next time and u then cant make a good pass and lose a good scoring chance that could be the difference in a win or loss depending on how close the game is. if you disagree or agree then reply

Re: this is hilarious
The whole damn game is bassed on passing!
Look at inline...there are no line calls, close game, what moves faster...a skater or the puck? the puck! Passing is what the game is about. Its not just for scoring too though, you have to get the puck out of your own end some way, and just shooting it isn't going to give your team controle of the puck, is it!? Its all just common sense!

Re: this is hilarious
if you ladies are done fighting about who can beat who, the #1 reason for passing is to control the puck. you control the puck, you control the game. and in contolling the game, you can get the best percentage shots. or you could be cool and be on a travelling team.

Re: this is hilarious
thats not the way to do it....the reason for passing is to get "flow" going. to make plays happen. the more you pass, the more plays you can set up to create chances. theres a point where you can pass too much and give up good shots. but if there is no shot then the only option is too look for a good pass.
