    ECRHA Regionals

The pools and games are set. Who do you see making it to the next round out of each pool? What team(s) do you see sneaking into the next round? Whose in the finals? Im curious to see what everyone thinks.
    Pool A
    1 West Chester
    4 Hofstra
    6 Towson
    7 Connecticut
    10 Rowan
    Pool B
    2 Stony Brook
    3 Neumann
    5 West Point
    8 Penn State
    9 Temple

Personally, Going into the second round from pool A I have: West Chester #1 seed with the bye, UConn #2 (with DaSilva and Tomcyzk), Towson #3. Pool B I have Neumann #1 seed with the bye, West Point #2, and #3 I had trouble with because i want to pick Stony Brook but since they 1st half they have been inconsistent. And Penn St and Temple are both good teams. But Ill go with Stony Brook at #3.

Finals: West Point vs West Chester with West Chester out on top.

WCU, UConn, Neumann, SBU. all good choices all have great scoring and goaltending.

I just realized Lucente hasnt been playing in the past couple tournaments and Neumann lost a big scorer in Zubak, where did these two go? are they still playing because if both arent playing I think that gives other teams a lot better chance of upsets. who knows what the deal is with these two?

    Re: ECRHA Regionals

I have heard rumors that both of these players will not be returning for the remainder of the 2011-2012 season. But I still think west chester is a force to be reckoned with. I didnt see their past tournament in virginia since my sons tournament was elsewhere. However, I checked the statistics and also spoke to a couple parents over the phone during the tournament. Apparently there was some very suspect reffing down there for all of the east teams but especially wcu. If I were them I wouldnt be to worried though. I still believe they are the best team in the east. I also noticed Grossman had a big weekend with 10 points along with Keene who followed close behind with 7 points. Lucente definitely helped them but I still dont think he was the best player on the team even when he was playing. He did put up points for sure but I dont think he has the best hockey knowledge. Their team will most certainly miss him but I would not at all expect to see a huge impact. After all look at their results in Sewell 2 weekends ago without him. They smoked neumann, rowan, and rutgers. Regionals will definitely be interesting....see you all there!

    Re: ECRHA Regionals

yeah both players are done from what I'm told.

    anyway, predictions:

    Pool A:
    WCU
    Uconn
    Towson

    Pool B:
    Neumann
    SB
    West P.

    Finals: Neumann-Wcu

Bold Prediction that would not shock me thou: Neumann does not make it out of pool play.

    Re: ECRHA Regionals

just saying that i would not be shocked if they didn't make it out of pool play.

i still like them to get to the finals but I'm also saying i would not be blown away if they didn't make it out of pool play

    Re: ECRHA Regionals

ok that makes sense. The east has been so up and down this yr I can see any team beating any team. I think that WC, SB and Neumann all will make the next round because even though they all have some questionable loses (WC to Suffolk, SB lost bad to penn, Neumann lost to Buff) they all have consistently won over the course of the year.Temple and Penn St is up and down but have had impressive games. Hofstra can win any game bc of their goalie. So should be a fun weekend.

    Re: ECRHA Regionals

How would you know about Lucente's "best hockey knowledge?" It appears that you spend alot of your energy and focus on someone that is none of your business. Apparently, he scored enough points for you to make mention of him in every one of your posts. Shouldn't you be more concerned with your son's points/scores? Or maybe you could venture out to coach WCU next season.

    Re: ECRHA Regionals

Well, well conndangl (parent & substitute coach) FINALLY, a player has had enough of your posts RAGGING on LUCENTE. Agreed Grossman & Keene are exceptional quality players but your constant pitting them against Lucente borders on "Luntsman Bias" But to quote you:
" ....have no bias towards anyone of them......this is just my unbiased opinion of what I see. I don't think you can really say that Lucente 'stands out' over all the other players on WCU".
" When watching them play he doesn't look 'better' then therest of the top players on WCU".
" Where as Lucente plays questionable defense & and has pretty inconsistent games".
"After talking to a teammate's father on WCU I understand that he may have violated a team rule BUT WHO KNOWS (Why post this if you don't know or are so unbiased?)"
" I also noticed Grossman had a big weekend with 10 points along with Keene who followed close behind with 7 points. Lucente definitely helped them ( FIRST 11 GAMES WITH 6 GWG ) but I still don't think he was the best player on the team even when he was playing. He did put up points for sure but I don't think he has the best hockey Knowledge".

What gives you the right or authority to judge Lucente's "Hockey Knowledge", you a marginal, non-achieving substitute coach who wishes he was " a player"?
Did you confer with his former coaches " Pedro, Flynn, Jelcic,Sean Sullivan, Mike Casey, Lee Strofe or Ken Murchison, former NHL san Jose Hockey player who coached him on the 2009 Junior World Inline Hockey Team in Milan, Italy" about his "Hockey Knowledge"? YOU OWE Lucente AN APOLOGY !!

By the way little man I did some research reflecting your so called " I know a decent amount about the sport" and how well you conveyed it to your own:

Kyle's ECRHA YEARS............................................. .......OVERALL GP G A PTS PPG SHG GWG STARS PIM
    2008-09 to 2011-12................................................ .....................99 56 65 121 17 4 4 3 198
    4 Years

Lucente's ECRHA YEARS............................................. ... OVERALL GP G A PTS PPG SHG GWG STARS PIM
    2nd half 2009-10................................................ ..........................69 116 119 235 18 16 14 102 59
    2010-2011
    2nd half 2011-12
    2Years
2010-2011: Voted on ALL STAR TEAM
: Scored 102 Points / 2nd in all ECRA to Amand of Rowan.
2011-2012: Voted on ALL STAR TEAM & MVP
2011-2012: Player of the Week, Marple 1ST STAR
2011-2012: Player of the Week, Feasterville, 1ST STAR

Quoting DUCKS9758- "I'd say that it is all true about Ehinger but the numbers that Lucente puts up even missing that weekend isn't comparable to anyone in the ECRHA in my opinion but those two should be the argument over the 5 of the nominees. But it was the same thing last year when Lucente played at Neumann.. Ehinger was a shadow of Lucente as he carried Neumann as far as he could take them. Not to mention Lucente has 3 first stars of the weekends and an All Star MVP just something to factor in but two great players they both deserve it."

"....two narch platinum hieh tier players. But just because Ehinger is not on a nearly good team as WCU is, shouldn't be just handed to him. I think with all the talent that WCU has and to see Lucente stand out overall the talent they have needs to be considered."

CONNDANGL YOU OWE LUCENTE AN APOLOGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Re: ECRHA Regionals

hahaha wow...struck a chord with you there huh? The only thing I have to say to you (and I shouldnt even respond to your rant) is that you dont know who i am and I am not going to apologize for formulating an opinion. I have been around the sport for awhile and I have the right to have opinions about players. Do some research though.. I have mentioned numerous times THAT HE IS A GOOD PLAYER. But he has downfalls to his game..just like Keene, Ehinger, Grossman, Jay Allen etc etc do. Nobodys perfect, but I am far from bashing anyone here. But if you cant handle it...don't read my posts! Have a good day..and try to relax a little bit lifes short
