    WCRHL talk

Considering last years champion and runner up in D1 were from the west, how does everyone think it will pan out this year? ASU looks like they'll be solid when ther ice guys play and U of A for a first year squad will get better every weekend. Should be a great season!

The West looks really strong again! UNLV looks great and their new goalie is going to keep them in every game. Long Beach is great again and they were even missing one of their top players in the first tournament. UCSB will put up a lot of points all year with Noe leading the offense. We (Cal Poly) didn't have a great start with this first tournament, but with 3 new guys on the roster, we should improve as the season goes on. ASU will be solid when their ice guys, Heinze in particular, show up. U of A will get better. In our game, they took a lot of penalties and got frustrated. Once they learn the league a little bit and stay out of the box, they will probably be right there with the other teams.

The rest of the country should watch out. Any of the Western teams that get a bid will do well at nationals.

Nice to finally see some WCRHL talk. I personally think it's wide open. UNLV looked great but U of A gave UNLV a run for their money in their game and Noe is unreal for UCSB. ASU, LBSU and Cal Poly will all be solid. It's truly anyone's division.
