Re: Ecrha post thoughts
I feel as if Division I in the ECRHA is clearly in the hands of West Chester University, they pretty much steamrolled the competition and almost managed to beat a pretty solid Penn State team in a four to six loss without a goalie for three periods. Also West Point played extremely well in their three games this weekend. On the opposite end of things URI and Suffolk will probably bottom feed again, also SUNY Buffalo will probably not be in a position to win regionals this year for the first time in quite a while.
In Division II Slippery Rock, Northeastern, and Pittsburgh will probably run away with the bids to nationals this year based on what was shown in their preseason games, Binghamton will definitely contend too once they cut the dead weight, get their goaltender Connelly in the mix and bring Pershinsky, and Ison into the roster. However without Pershinsky the team is pretty mediocre at best. I would not in the slightest be surprised if we ended up with another DII "big four" like two years ago. Queens was good but they let a Cornell team with an player skating for his first in net hang around until the third period, and had issues shorthanded which is awful news for a team who had 12 minutes penalties in 3 preseason games against weak opponents.
