2. What is a roll on floor?
Thanks, B

Re: 2 questions...
Well, I would have to say that for the wooden floor...I'm thinking something like what they have in Dumars you would use the same kind of wheel you use in sport court. The only problem you will have is they will break down faster on the wood. I would suggest maybe a 76a hardness. It all depends on your weight, I use 76a on sport, but I weigh 205lbs, you could use a 74a, but they might break down faster than normal. As for the brand, HYPER all the way!
As for the roll on, I'm not too sure, seeing as I haven't played on it for years, I would say maybe a 78a.
Just my thoughts!

Re: 2 questions...
Roll On is the coating they put on a wood floor. Sometimes, it may be another name brand coating, but usually people just refer to it as a roll on floor. I have been playing on sport court and roll on for years. The grip of the floor depends on how often they put down the roll on. At our rink we put it down every 6-7 months. If you wait too long then the floor gets slippery. I weigh about 155 lbs, and use 74-76A on sport court & use 78-81A on roll on. If you use a harder wheel it will still grip o roll on and it wont wear out so fast, but like Titan said if use sport court wheels on wood/roll on rinks then they will wear out a lot faster. Try a harder wheel and see what you think.

Re: 2 questions...
I thought roll on was a deoderant? lol j/k
The only coated wood floor I've played on, was at the local disco rink. It was damn sticky... I usually went with a 78A for some grip. I went 2 weeks going 82A and that was a little easier to stop because they would slide a little easier than the 78A's. The wood floor was coated "sticky" so that all of the Jr. High teenie boppers could use their regular skates with typical outdoor wheels when doing the disco thing and skating the permanent left turn.
