USA women beat slovakia yesterday 8-0, play spain today July 4th at 230pm Eastern.

The men play next week and I was told the same site will be used for their games.

Just watching the Swiss v Czech practice match, good play - but just like during our own aus v Columbia practice the reefing is decidedly ordinary. Refs making calls because they've got the officiating panel evaluating them.

Swiss up 3 nil 9 minutes in to the first and dominating play all over the rink.

The puck used this year is better than the soft one last year - not as good as an IDS though, or durable, the rink is covered in runners that have fallen out. Stilmat floor is showing again that it is the best tile surface.

For the women.

Czech beat canada for the gold, usa beat france for the bronze.

USA women have lots of new faces. only 4 of 12 players over age 20 and only 3 of them skaters . lots of talent and no size. Czech was just as fast and talented but alot bigger and stronger.
