Is he going to hold out and sign with the Flyers?
Just a Question.

I want that to happen so bad. We are in need of a true right winger. I'd love to see him on the top line w/ Richards and Gagne.

Very Very True. I wish it would happen too.

Hartnell is a great right winger fellas.
an excellent all around player.
Leino should be the lefty on the top line. he was a huge player in the playoffs and a steal for Philly.
He was the finnish pro league player of the year for two straight seasons before playing two years in the Wings farm system.
hes gonna have 60+ points this year.
Philly needs a goalie more than a winger.
injuries hurt their offense last year.

Simon Gagne - Flyers could trade Gagne The Philadelphia Flyers priority now is to move some big contract, Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos tweets
I will boycott the Flyers if this happens.
Get rid of Carter.

homer already said he is building the team around Carter Richards and Giroux. so it has to be either Gagne Harnell Carle or someone else
carter is soft

Dude Carter is way soft. He is a one way player ever since he has played with the Phantoms. You need a Veteran on the team to make a core. Gags is a 2-way player that helps the team day in and day out.
Carle lol they won't get rid of him. He is most underrated defensemen in the NHL. Solid player all around.
Hartnell- He is a great player when he has to be. Should he get traded? No not at all. Get rid of Carter,Ash,Cote to clear up cap room.

Dont think ana will let him go, they have the money to match any offer for him. Now if they flyers are smart they trade carter for him. Giving Ana another great center(where Carts wants to play) and we get our big time winger. Money would cancel each other out and we could throw in Carcillo or Bartulis with him. I doubt this will happen but it sounds good. The Flyers dont have a point to trade Gags and his value doesnt compare to Ryans. Lastly i believe this is the team, 6 real good Dmen, same forward lines from last season with Leino in and hopefully staying at the level he was at in the playoffs. Cote will be gone and Asham not resigned. Barts is a 7th dman with a 600000$ cap hit. Subtract him and Cote they will be about 2mil under the cap.
Thank God Someone Was Nice Enough To Put Me On Their Team!
Look at this that showed up today...
Surprisingly, the Gagne stuff does not appear to be about a goalie....Not Thomas, and Not Nabokov (who I now feel is heading to Russia) I don't think it's about Kovalchuk (could always be) ...I believe, this is all about Bobby Ryan...that would be my guess.
The Flyers rarely ask players to waive NTC. This is only the second time I can remember them doing so (They asked JR to waive when they signed Forsberg). Ed Snider is old school and very loyal. He would only go to Gagne if he had something definitive that he couldn't pass up.
Oh boy!!!

Simon Gagne told Canadian sports television station RDS on Wednesday that he has not waived his no-trade clause, despite earlier reports to the contrary.
"I have a no-trade clause and I didn't waive it," Gagne said, speaking to reporters in French. "The Flyers have a salary cap problem, and I'm a player that is on the tail end of his contract, with still a year to complete. The next few days may help us to see what's going to happen for me."
It is important to note that Gagne has not said that he won't waive his no-trade clause, just that he has yet to do so.
The longest-tenured athlete in Philadelphia, Gagne is due to receive $5.25 million in salary next year. The 30-year-old has increasingly been the focus of trade rumors in recent days.
If the Flyers are to sign free agent winger Nikolai Zherdev, as they are reportedly close to doing, clearing cap space will be a necessity.
Sources told CSNPhilly.com last week that Gagne had agreed to waive his no-trade clause only for certain teams - Los Angeles being one of them. But now that the Kings appear to have lost interest in the left wing, it is possible that has changed.
Gagne finished the 2009-10 season with 17 goals and 23 assists in 58 games.

Gagne to the lightning for Matt walker and a 4th rounder
Complete BS. I am dumb founded that homer would let him go. i honestly hope gags scores 40+ goals this season and shows theNHL he is the man.

score one for new GM stevie Y and tampa!
they got a top 3 forward in exchange for a third pairing defenseman and a 4th rounder.
clearly a salary dump for Philly. Gagne can still play. The only concern would be that he had those duplicate hernia surgeries in the past 12 months.

Really bad trade for homer to give up your top winger for a #7 or #8 D-man and a pick. Glad the flyers still have Carter Aka. Mr.Lazy. Then they picked up Zherdev another lazy waste. Still no #1 goalie yet.
