Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke mentions in-line hockey.
It's about half way down in this article from a Toronto newspaper.

One of his sons played in my league a few years ago while he was interning for the Patriots in Mass. I heard that Brian came up one day to watch him play. I didn't see him, but alot of other people did.

Hi Stemm,
This is hugely helpful for my wrap-up chapter in my book on Roller Hockey International. It's timely, and it's a no-brainer.
Let's hope that the NHL listens...
Thanks!

Great article! It's awesome coming from someone of his position. Just awesome! Hopefully this doesn't fall on deaf ears.

The ice community sure has come a long way in acknowledging roller hockey...
I started playing roller first, and when I made a transition into ice when I was young (5th grade) the ice community tried very hard to dissuade me. The board of directors went so far as to tell me that roller was actually detrimental to ice skills!
