Santa Monica Kings of the Beach

Yesterday, in pickup inline hockey in the parking lots of Santa Monica, California, Rob Nokes scored eight goals and picked up 25 "bad karma" minutes, while Chris Miller scored three goals and hit two rims. Chris Nelson made several great defensive plays, and the Mullen twins took off their shirts and caused three female inline skaters to swoon on the boardwalk. Eric Rice dropped a couple of Chiclets and pretended they were his teeth, and Dave "Helmet Head" Carnevale bent two trash cans by resting on them. More updates soon.

Just kidding. It's time for someone to post some tournament results here!

hey richie, that post was histerical, man i wished i was in santa monica, i would bust out the old figure four roller skates with the square wheels and bring the honeys, jeepers, we would have a blast faking injuries, drooling at pretty woman, and cracking open a few cold ones after the game winning goals....keep it up superstar!!!

    Hi ISU,

Glad you liked the post. However, I don't fake injuries. All of mine, including my broken back, are real. I believe in playing through pain.

    Re: Rich playing through pain

    Yea right!

I once heard that Rich withdrew from his men's league team and demanded a league fee refund when he suffered a hangnail on his big toe opening night.

    Or something like that...
