Fellow Readers:
Some months ago, fall '09 to be true, many of us read about a young roller hockey player, Casey Strale, who had been fallen by cancer. We read his stories, many even contributed gifts and well wishes while Casey lay in the hospital. In October '09, Casey was the poster boy of a Hockey Warrior at the annual Give Blood Play Hockey event in Irvine, CA as he garnered the hearts of the local community and others across the country.
Now, a few months after returing home and even putting skates back on for a trial run at the rink, Casey is recovering and we're all so very proud of him and his putting up the good fight - a lesson for all of us about grit and determination.
Today, Casey and his famiy are remembered in the story Mother and father relearn power of believing written by Jeff Miller of the Orange County Register. A heart-warming story worthy of a few minutes of your time.
