    Aihl & piha

Just curious as to what rinks charge per hour for use at facilities. I am doing a project for school and want to get an idea based on location and each facility based on what they offer...thanks

You would probably get better answers by calling the rinks.

I tried doing that. The rinks would not give out the information based on what they charge a specific team. Only the current going rate to rent out an hour. That is what part of my project is based on. Percentage of use to price and so on. I was hoping someone would be able to help me out on here thanks.

    Re: Aihl & piha

after three years, my facility went out of business in Novemeber, so I might not be a legitimate reference, but...

    mine was a small-floor facility

I ran all groups as club games, and received $25-60 per hour, dependent on time of day.

Some one wanted to just come in & rent the floor for exclusive use, $25 per hour. If the group was made up of already registered players, and they would totally take odd hours, as available, then I some times let 'em in for as little as $10...I could do paperwork while they skated or played.

Again, I was a small, mom & pop business, not typical of the average facility that must have $8,000-$15,000 in revenue each month just to stay alive.

WOW!!! $25-$60 an hour, I would love that!!!! We currently pay about $125 per hour for our home games and we buy a little more time then needed just to be safe. I know that the average was around $100 per hour for other rinks and what the "festival" rate is.

125 an hour is very good.

We pay well above that per hour in Hartford and I know that the Long island rinks are above that as well.

$100-$125 / hour is fairly standard across the country for a "retail rate".

If you rent at odd hours, extended periods of time, team practice for the rink travel team, etc...then the rate may change in your favor.
