With the new year here, and teams getting ready for their second half of their seasons and playoff pushes, I just wanted to share this article once again. Even though we aren't NCAA scholarship players, or receiving professional contracts and playing on ESPN, I think it's important for all of us to remember why we play.

Nice article man.. I never got to read it, because I was already graduated and not really keeping up with the whole college roller derby scene. But I can add that throughout all the junior and college Ice hockey I have played... The high point of my playing days was that 2007 season with Stony Brook..
To be a part of a national championship was great, but to see what happened over the course of the year really made it that much better. A group of guys coming together, playing for each other, and believing in one another when no one else even gave us a chance. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and that is what playing this great game is all about.
