    AAU National Ranking

Did anyone notice that aau had started doing a national racking for teams that have participated in their tournaments?.... the national ranking run from march through the junior olympics....

Does anyone have an opinnion on this?

I think its great for the sport and will help build rivalries between the elite teams....

Nice in theory, but how accurate could it possibly be?

Your team plays in California, my team plays in New York. We never play each other, nor do we have a common opponent. Plus with tournamnets, even the elite teams will have roster changes from one weekend to another.

I guess it would be like the BCS...

Plus, there are a lot of really good teams that didn't play in AAU last season. Some of them are much better than those on the lists.

How great would it be tho if this system was used by all of the major tournament series as a combined effort.

Team dont have to play eachother it is voted on by the group which runs aau (now imagine if the NARCh and Torhs guys could each throw ina vote).

We would have a semi accurate national ranking. I know it will not happen anytime soon but I think it would be increadible.

They lost to the Liberty in the Final. I believe it was 4-3, but the game winner was scored with about 30 seconds left in the game.

That is the correct score. It was one hell of a game. Both teams were loaded with talent. We have developed a little rivalry with the liberty guys the last three games have been 1 goal games with last minute/ot goals determining the winner.

The final was definatly a game with some very interesting calls.... we took alot of penalties and they had a strong powerplay which capitalized on 3 out of 5 opportunities.... I should have film from the round robin game up later....

Congrats to the liberty guys on the tourny win

It would be good if someone independent had a ranking that considered all national tournaments and did not favor either side.
