    D1 this weekend

looks like an interesting weekend around the country in d1:

yesterday, buffalo tied west point and then it took a huge comeback for them to beat towson 6-5.

asu went 4-0, beating up on most teams. unlv went 4-0 too, even knocking off long beach state 8-2.

michigan state beat central michigan 9-4 in first battle of midwest heavyweights. close game after 1st period but michigan state pulled away.

any thoughts from people who were at these tournaments/know these teams? is buffalo starting to look beatable or was it just a few bad games? is asu really that good? is unlv or long beach state the real deal? is michigan state clearly the better team there in the midwest? how far off is central michigan?

Buffalo did just have a few bad games. Buffalo had two guys playing for first time in a month and was missing another dedensemen. They had seven guys for all three games. The first game they missed a bunch of chances and ran into a suprisingly hot army goalie. The second game against towson buffalo fell behind 5-1 on some bonehead defense plays giving Towson a number of odd man breaks. Great comeback tho, as they dominated the last part of second period and the third was all theirs. Then buffalo finished off the weekend with a romping on penn state, winning 11-3. Keep watching buffalo, there gonna come out of the east and give a great run at nattys

ASU is pretty solid, from what I saw they dominated Long Beach State despite having guys a guy in the box for a good chunk of the game.

There may be some ASU footage from the weekend coming out soon, mostlikely highlights. I'll keep you guys posted as soon as I see them
