I am not sure, but on the NCRHA website, there is an application for bids to host the 2010 NCT.
No location has been determined yet, as NCRHA is still accepting bids.
Well as much fun as San Jose would be...i vote feasterville ive never been there...
Lets hope its in Estero, Fla. The place was very clean and plenty of room to move around. The airport was very good and it's close to the rink.
San Jose is nice as well but it's a ride to the rink. Not too many Hotels close to the rink.
Let's not have it in Feasterville. NO PARKING and the place needs to get cleaned up a bit.
Take care see you at the rink.
Well at least your font wasn't huge...
I'd say no to Feasterville obviously because it was there this past season. Germain Arena, I don't believe that the surface is there, meaning that it would need to be rented, something that is generally outside of the budget of the NCRHA (for obvious reasons).
I am all for having it in San Jose- I had a great time there a few years ago- although I'd love to see it on Long Island in years to come. As long as the NCRHA would be willing to do 2 facilities, such as it did in St. Louis and Colorado Springs, then it would work. I wouldn't want it back on the east coast this year, but definitely in the future.
i dont think anyone this side of Pittsburgh wants it in Feasterville. Long Island would be nice. Theres 2 rinks at Skate Safe and down the road is Sportstime which only has one rink but is very nice if we needed a 3rd surface
San Jose would be awesome, even though expensive as hell.
Feasterville suckkkkksss!
I agree that going to the West coast will be very expensive. Majority of the teams do come from the Eastern Part of the US, so I think it should be respected by placing Nationals in the East.
I was not in the league when the Nationals were in North Carolina, so I do not know what they experienced, but North Carolina was immediately a venue I thought that would be great. I definitely, as much as I love the food offerings, do not want to go back to Feasterville. Palm Beach Skatezone, home of Torhs 2009, could be a possible venue. Skatezone learned a lot after hosting Torhs Nationals and I am certain they will be able to offer a great expierience.
Florida, alllllllll day
The place in North Carolina that held nationals should be blown up. It was a dump.
If the majority of the teams come from a certain area, you should respect that and go there. Unfortunately, you do satisfy the majority when it comes down to it. It would be nice to go cross country for seeing new places and such, but in this economy, it is not feasible for some teams. The league should have knowledge of this and do what they can to ensure the majority of the top teams make it to nationals. Flights tot he West Coast are very expensive and I have found that hotels are more expensive there as well.
I know, for one, I may not make it to nationals this year for my team, because the time of Nationals falls directly on my finals time. If it is on the east coast, I can possibly make it, but if it is on the other side of the country, I can almost guarantee I wont make it. I went to the high school hockey championships in Anaheim a few years ago, and had the time of my life! I would love to go back to California, but I know I cannot make it there if that is where nationals are.
* As discussed previously, having it at Disney would be a great venue and I think it would be good for the sport. Unfortunately, we know that would never happen though.....
