I still believe that the difference in costs is minimal, but regardless, with Pitt's struggles last season and subsequent fall to DII status, I would love to see another team make the jump up this year to give us an even 10 team division.

Most of the ECRHA teams already have matching pants etc... so the money difference is minimal...

    Re: Echra d2

This argument comes up every year, and every year it gets nowhere.

The costs aren't about scrounging together $70 for a helmet. It's about getting funding from the school. For some schools, success is directly tied to funding. It may not be beneficial for some schools to go to D1 to get walked over by Towson, Buffalo, Rhode Island etc, as much as they may want to. And when I say funding, I don't mean having an extra $1000 to get helmets, or gloves or pants; I mean having $5,000 or $10,000 to pay for rink time, and travel expenses and things of that nature. Without that, cost falls on the players...and then there isn't even a team to argue about.

It's just not a simple solution.

Welcome California to the ECRHA. Also, welcome Delaware back to the DII level. 2 more DII teams than last season, with Pitt moving down to DII, California and Delaware coming in, but Ramapo moving to DIII.

Glad to see that DIII is growing as well. It's doing exactly what it should be doing, and it looks like it's up to 8 teams this year. Also good to see the resurgence of the Massachusetts teams.

Westchester is the team to beat...

Rowan is pretty good as well.

Glad to see Neumann put another team in the ECHRA - B Team

Should be a great season " Game On "

Out of the 17 Teams how many will make the big dance in CA ?

"The big dance in CA". Did I miss something, or is this just wishful thinking?

If Nationals are in Cali - figures. First year to miss Nationals and they're in Cali.
