Just wondering if anyone knows of any adult roller hockey in San Antonio. Just moved there and looking to play.
Thanks.

I thought there was a league in El Paso
geeez...
San Antonio to El Paso, Texas: 585 miles one-way...like, Chicago to NYC???
Ya don't just drop over from one to the other.
But thanks! for thinking of us.

Was in San Antonio, last week, passing through on our way to move my daughter to UT @ Austin, after a short stay in New Orleans.
I wonder how hot it is in Hell, cause I'll bet you that San Antonio, is hotter. I"ll also bet you that Sport Court would melt in San Antonio.

Hi Steve,
Austin's a cool city. I love the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue down by the river and the way the bats come out from undr the bridge at dusk to feed. And Antone's is a fantastic place to see a blues show.

Yeah, I believe it is a brutal time of year for the heat. I live on the east coast, but have family in Texas. The state of Texas has a proud, fierce, independent mind-set that sets it apart from most other states I've been to, and I've been to a lot. I think in a lot of states, folks wouldn't know their state flag if they fell over it...it is literally plastered and flying everywhere in Texas, private property as well as public.
The last time we were in San Antonio, we looked for a rink...it's always fun to play somewhere different. They have ice hockey, complete with a minor league team(the SA Rage I think), but we couldn't find roller. There are "hot" pockets in other areas of the state though, but as previously mentioned, the size of the state makes the distance impractical. I do think I recollect one of the colleges or universities in the San Antonio area having a roller team at one time or another, but I'm not sure, and don't know where they would have played.
That independent spirit that is so prevalent in Texas seems like a perfect match for the sport of roller hockey. Maybe you can get something started! There is surely an interest in hockey if the area can support a minor league ice hockey team.
Make sure you check out the river walk. Just make sure you don't fall in the river.
