Long Beach State returns the entire team except Josh Hackworth. We will be also adding two more Platinum level players to the D1 squad next season.
D2 - #92 Cameron Rowand, transfering from Rowan to Tampa.
Should be a strong addition to an already potent Tampa roster.
Steve Inge - ROXBURY 8
RUMOR @ Nationals was that the NCRHA is taking a very hard look at the 5 year eligibility rule. The consensus of those people I spoke to was that it very well may be changed to 6.
If that happens, they'll be a line out the door of guys looking to come back for the 1 extra year. Just when we thought Lindenwood was losing some of their top players..............

ps - Other, nonconfirmed rumor at Nationals: 2010 Nationals @ San Jose, CA. That is, if there can be an agreement hammered out as far as the $$$ rental rate is concerned. I realize the NCRHA has a budget, but how sweet would Nationals be in San Jose?
Narch was great there last summer.
I don't even know if I'd want to raise up the eligibility numbers, but if so, I would imagine it would involve grad school education and not 6 years of undergrad. Regardless, I'm gonna start taping up my sticks...
Boo to 6 years of eligibility, yay for nationals on the west coast next year.
Whats wrong with 6 years? I played six years, I have a BA and MA...college was much better for me having hockey to look forward to on weekends. Maybe this would be a good debate for another thread? I am sure there are plenty of pros and cons.

Regarding the "6 Year Rule"
I don't agree in a specific amount of years but, I support a min. set GPA and Credit Hours, there would be no way or getting around going to class and doing well if indeed you did want to play NCRHA.
I'd like to announce tryout dates for the University of Phoenix Online Phoenixes, which will be making their debut for the 2009-10 NCRHA campaign. Now that we're probably adding an extra year of eligibility, I will be making a comeback, as will Matt Brunk, Jim Tamburino, Mat Hahey, Evan Winstead and others.
The tryouts will be held next weekend at the Free State Sports Arena in White Marsh, MD.

deja vu...same exact conversation and it lead to a senior league and of course the Phoenix Online team...
Six years of college hockey! And we are trying to legitimize our sport? Give me a break. Next someone will want players to buy memberships to be able to play in tournaments!
