    Phil,

I have the Mission Boss skates as well. They were very stiff on me also. First I always put lifts in my skates because I have a high arch in my foot. Second a couple weeks after I got the skates I sprained my ankle so I got a Neoprene brace from Target. It helped with my injury, but I found that it also protects from the skates, so I bought another one for my other ankle. With my lifts and the brace my skates feel awesome. If u go to target and at least get the braces, which is used as extra padding from the stiff boot you should be fine.

Carefully heat them with a heat gun, type you would use for stripping paint, changing blades in composite shafts etc.etc.. This does the same as "baking" them. I have a ccm heat gun that was used for vacku tacks, before the skate ovens even came out. Works just as good and you can do it in the comfort of home.

yeah just be careful to not skate in them for 24 hours after you bake them
