    New Toy

So I recently got a bunch of new toys for my computer room and I now have the ability to get some of the old video's I have lying around onto the internet.

With the national tournament coming back to the area this year it only makes sense to post some videos from the 2003 National Tournament. Also, some old Ship videos as well. (Excuse the quality of the video's, I really don't know how to improve what is on the VHS)

Once I actually figure out how to string together highlights and stuff I'll just post them in one big file, but it took so long to get the stuff set up and out of the boxes that I wanted to have something to show for a days worth of work.

Forgive my ignorance, I wasn't around then so I don't really understand. Just out of personal interest...I thought LU won nationals in 2003 (because I thought I read "the streak" dates back to 2002)? But they're losing in the "elite 8" to Towson in those videos. Just confused. I know the CRHL/NCRHA switch over happened around then, figure it's something to do with that?

I believe this was their "B" team and their "A" team playing in the elite division that is no longer around.

What game, the Lindenwood/Towson or Ship/Neumann?

That season Lindenwood had their best team in the Elite Division. I am sure you can bring up a ton of old threads on this MB using the search feature.

With that being said, they did not win the DI National Title that year, but, they did win what was the top division.

I'll try and quickly explain it for you youngins

That year, CRHL (the NCRHA's predecessor) created an 'Elite' division. The idea was to have the best of the best play what you would consider home games, at their home rink. Like college ice hockey. Turns out that the only teams that really did it were the Midwest teams, for a variety of factors. So, Lindenwood won the Elite division, and their B team played in DI, and lost to Towson, who played DI (in their first ever season).

Computer room? Geez, I'm not even that much of a dork.

This stuff is awesome though. The more the better!

Any old UMSL stuff? Anything from St. Charles or Meramec CC from the CRHL?

On the subject of video, will Lifetime Media or another company be taping and selling DVDs at Nationals?

I have a DVD of the Neumann/UMSL national championship somewhere but I am not sure where.

Basically i got all this equipment because the family decided they wanted to move the family archives onto DVD and other means to avoid losing them. I have something like 10 boxes of slides from 1970-1985 and then about 500 photo albums that need to be scanned. On top of that, all the family videos need to be copied as well.
