    ECRHA Regional B Division

Since the the website didn't show any love to the B-Division for regionals, I was just wondering what everyone's predictions were...

Can't argue that, they have a very talented team this year - was glad to see Eric back in the mix, as a goalie myself, you hate to see that kinda stuff happen. However, I think everyone that responds is either gonna pick Buff. or West Chester for a final match up - and there's no doubt that either of those teams would deserve the crown, but I'm predicting an underdog to take it - I'm saying either Suffolk Gold or PSU.

Suffolk or PSU??? I don'y see either one of those teams even making the championship. Suffolk has been on a slide down the stretch and Penn St. is a combined 0-5-1 against Suffolk, Buffalo, WC and Townson. I expect buffalo to win it all

That my friend, is why I said "Underdog" - That said, I agree with you in the sense that the stats support a Buffalo title thus far. However, how many times has the #1 seed been bounced in the playoffs in the NHL or any sport for that matter? While this is only college roller hockey, it is the playoffs and anything is possible; who doesnt love a classic upset? With only two days left, I suppose only time will tell.

Buffalo responded to their first loss with a 4-0 weekend including wins agaisnt michigan state and lindenwood (who they outshot 2 to 1) all with a goalie about 50%. West Chester has been dominate all year. Also they are a class act and deserve to be there. Its gonna be a big upset to knock either team out.

Did anybody notice how rutgers replaced stony brook in the B playoffs? If I was on stony brook B team, I wouldn't be too happy

Does anyone figure Rutgers to be the sleeper now? Maybe a team of destiny if they were handed that 8th spot. Lets see what they can do with their fortune.

Stony Brook B used an illegal goalie for most of the second semester, so the forfeit win that they got against Suffolk Blue is now a double forfeit. That sole win was enough to keep them out of the regional playoffs.

Thanks for clearing that up, it just seemed kind of odd how one day stony brook had the 8 spot then all of a sudden rutgers got it

so it looks like everyone has pretty much already counted out Towson to go very far? no one even wrote them in as a dark horse, thats pretty interesting. they have seen all the teams in their pool multiple times this year and as someone stated earlier in this thread, its the playoffs anything can happen

To me towson has the top 1st line the region. After that a little shakey but could be legitimate. They are going to go as far as their first line carries them.

Towson is definitely a contender for the title game. There schedule includes Penn St. who played Towson to a tie a few weekends ago in Mt. Pleasant in a game filled with momentum swings. They played Buffalo close in November and beat up on Rutgers. I could definitely see them going as far as their first line takes them.

Good point on Towson...with the exception of West Chester they gave Buffalo there only close game...I even think Jeff Elias got denyed from there...hes always hanging out with them at tourneys.
