    MCRHL @ Cedar Springs, MI

Just took a look at this coming weekend's MCRHL schedule at Cedar Springs, MI :

    http://www.mcrhl.com/schedule.php?event_id=845

Anyone think Central Michigan (DII) has a shot against mighty Michigan State (DI) ? ? ?

Central Michigan certainly has a strong roster of guys that have played with each other a long time http://www.mcrhl.com/team.php?team_id=52674&area=stats

Yokubison, Bara, and Heinge are a talented group. Yokubison is a standout player.

Michigan state played central in a scrimmage before the season started at michigan state's home rink (dem hall) and they beat central 12-2...central had all their guys so will see what happens this time

    5-3 Final - Michigan State

I wonder if any key players were missing from either squad?

According to the scoresheet, it looks like everyone was there for both teams.

A bigger story might be what happened later though with Grand Valley beating Central 5-2 and taking over the top DII spot. Not many people seem to be talking about Grand Valley, but it looks like they are playing some great hockey this year.

Grand Valley has stepped it up this season, not only in D2 but in B div as well. They sure should be proud the way things are going for them this year!
