    Great Inline Hockey Tale

    Hi Folks,

    Check this out:

I am curious to know if these two gentlemen heard about the Namibia job via Inline Hockey Central. That'd be cool!

None, as there are no "paid-to-play" professional inline hockey teams or leagues here. If you're asking about what the 'skill' level is however, most of the European "pro" inline teams feature a lot of off-season "Elite" or "pro" level ice hockey players that would be at about at least an East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) level -- a MUCH, MUCH higher "skill" level than that of the average everyday player that the AIHL, MLRH or PIHA team typically rosters.

My son played in the Spainish National Inline Hockey League last year and loved it! He played with CPLV VALLADOLID where they won the 2008 Spanish National Inline Hockey League Championship and was runner-up for the 2007 European Cup. They do it right in Spain, the players are treated like royality....I would recommend any hockey player who has the chance to try-out for any SNIHL team, go for it!

My son learned the language and the Spanish tradition....

Greg Thompson who plays for our Mission Snipers pro team and is an employee of State Wars Hockey is leaving tomorrow to go to Barcelona Spain for the next 6 months. He was offered a contract to play for a team there for this season and is getting paid a good salary and housing expenses to play. Great opportunity for a great person and awesome hockey player. See who says you have to play ice hockey to go somewhere?

I've played against those guys in the European cup. They seemed to be nice guys... Even if we lost a close game against them we won that tournament with my team from France.
The best league in Europe right now is in France, it plays from september till june and games are on the same day as the ice league so players have to make a choice. They are only a very few players paid in France. There are a lot more paid players in spain and italy and their league are getting pretty good.
Play is very different in Europe because we play on smaller rink wich makes the game very different but fun to play too.
I have videos if you want to see what it looks like but since I had to recreate an account I can't post links...
