Thread: NCRHA Game of the Week

  1. NCRHA Game of the Week

#3 Michigan State vs. #4 The Ohio State University in beautiful West Bloomfield, MI. It is a shame that the MCRHL doesn't attempt to recreate the Winter Classic this weekend, with temps anticipated to be in the mid-teens, it would be a good opportunity for the guys to suit up on a shoveled parking lot and go old school for the weekend.

    Any thoughts on the game?

haha mid-teens huh? try dropping that number by about 20... we have had lows of -7 and wind chills of -25.... not exactly tennis court hockey weather.

We need to get a better forecast out of the guys at Channel 12 news in Flint. They told us at SlammHockey that it was supposed to be in the mid-teens. I would love a job that I could be right 15% of the time and get paid for it.

Michigan State vs. Ohio State was one of the top MCRHL game played this year. What a great way to start off the winter semester for NCHRA Division 1 Hockey.

How about a game of the week from the WCRHL?

This weekend UC Santa Barbara plays Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. This storied rivalry goes back to the league's inception in 1995. Since the WCRHL started keeping stats on Powerplaystats.com, Cal Poly holds the lead at 9 wins, 6 losses and 1 tie. However, UCSB has won 3 out of the last 4 matchups...

The following weekend (Jan 31-Feb 1) at Irvine, UC Santa Barbara plays UC Irvine 2x and Long Beach State 2x. That is a tough weekend, and will definitely show who the strongest teams are in the 2nd semester...

Also UNLV plays Long Beach, Arizona State 2x, and UC Irvine on Jan 31-Feb 1.

Should be an interesting couple of weekends!
