    We're integrated with Facebook!

    Hi all,

I've worked on integrating our message board with Facebook Connect, which lets you log into IHC (or register a new account) by using your Facebook account.

It's completely secure and you can connect it to your existing IHC account if you'd like - it'll allow you to automatically befriend people on IHC that are your Facebook friends, and also post your well thought out (ahem) posts to your Facebook news feed if you want.

If you're already logged in, just Log Out and log back in using the big blue Facebook Connect button to give it a try!

Wow, the site looks great. I like the new Facebook integration feature. Big thumbs up!

I just logged out and logged on with my facebook account and I don't feel any different. Should anything in my life change now?

Ok, now this is really creepy. It shows my avatar for AJ's post and shows some other users avatar for my post.

It's doing a live fetch from Facebook, so now that it's switched off the avatars/photos are gone. I think the "other person's avatar" issues had to do with some bugs relating to quoting.

As for the privacy concerns, the only things Facebook shares are the same things that show up in a public search for you on Facebook - location and profile photo are about it. I didn't see that configuration setting the first time I went through the app and it's switched off now.
