We've been told that the Jan 31st event near Pittsburgh will be an attempt to be a cross-regional event with ECRHA/MCRHL teams. With the new division restructuring (a.k.a. everyone and their mother in DII), cross-regional play will be a big emphasis this year, so we're hoping this event works out well.

Michigan plans on going. Any other teams planning on attending this weekend?

    Re: ECRHA 2008-2009 Events

    Steve,

With the new D1 guidelines, there has obviously been a huge drop in number of teams nationally. In our region, it makes no sense to play each other 4 times, so we've all decided that cross-regional play is 1) necessary, 2) the direction the NCRHA wants to take, and 3) the best way to boost our resume for selection to Nationals. So in addition to making the trip to Pittsburgh, we are looking to travel to other regions.

And of course, we offer an open invitation to any non-MCRHL teams to schedule games in the Michigan area. Aside from having to drive through Ohio, the trip isn't that bad.
