It's now Septmber 1 and the AIHL season is supposed to open up on October 1. Their is still no schedule up and their haven't been very many updates at all on the site, and according to the site their isn't a true confirmation of exact teams in the league. Does anyone have updates or and information on when they will be making announcements?

From what I have heard from a friend in California, the league is supposed to square up teams/divisions this week. Once this is done, each team rep will conference and decide on the schedules as they did in PIHA. I also heard that some teams/divisions have opted to play an accelerated format season to allow for other events the players want to take part in. I think that is a good ideas for some, although I would prefer a standard season schedule as I get a "little" better as the season progresses, and I wake up from summer retirement. All and all, each team will play equal amount of games, and meet in Florida I believe for the playoff series.
Either way, the season is coming quick! I hope they get on it!

I believe that everything that everyone has heard about both PIHA and AIHL are just that: things people have heard from people who don't know. Both leagues I'm sure will pass along information in an official manner as it becomes available.
