I had cancer last year and was off of skates, and feet in general for 7 months. I know that's not an "injury" but getting power to push back after not doing ANYTHING for that long of a time was very detrimental to my game. Hopefully you aren't laid up as long. If the Dr.'s allow it, get some theraband that PT's use and work out your leg that way. It'll help build strength, prevent atrophy and it's no impact, so that will help out your knee.
