So neither league (PIHA and AIHL) is fielding Chicago teams?? Anyone around the area playing elite level anywhere close?

I was wondering the same thing, i am just outside chicago, NWI, was planning on playing PIHA this year. I might have to go to Michigan or Ohio though. If you find anything let me know.

I played in on chicagos minor pro team and organization in chicago is not so good nobody wants to pay for anything and everyone wants its all. There are only 2 good rinks in chicago that can supply the kind of rink to have a pro team of some sort. There just isnt anyone with enough backing or money to make it happen in chicago. Believe me ive been playing here since 1996 and as i not a star player ive always been heavily involved and have supported inline hockey here its brought me alot of good times and has barely survived. Im getting older and it would be great to try to play minors again but it doesnt look like anyone is willing to take that responsibility as a business owner myself i know its not a easy task to take on that venture. Man its hard for me to run my own business and my business is profitable can you imagine running a pro inline team that doesnt make any money and probably wont for years to come. Hay i love hockey and maybe one day ill have made enough money to help a team stick around in chicago but thats not now lol. I hope someone with enough money sees the benefit of inline hockey. It just has to be the right person.
