Fantasy Keeper Hockey League

Hey Everyone,

I am very heavily involved in everything fantasy (hockey, baseball and football) and for the past few years i have been trying to get into a good keeper league but there are very few good ones. I have grown tired of leagues starting and folding after one season so I really want to start my own league and want to know what the interest is out there. Because we would be starting fresh there is almost no limits we can put on this but we would need to get moving fast as there is only two months to get a lot of stuff done.

General Information:

Were going to have 20 teams in the league.
Teams will be named after NHL Franchises.
Pre-dispersal draft Keepers will be from the NHL team you are representing.

For Example: If you pick Pittsburgh, you can choose to keep 6 players from the current Pittsburgh team before the initial draft.

I'd definitely be in...but it sounds kinda flawed with the pre-draft keepers.

What if I land the Florida Panthers, and another guy lands the Penguins or Blackhawks? Do I get a higher draft pick?

I guess I just need to see the full rules...

Current Pittsburgh:
Keeper 1: Sidney Crosby
Keeper 2: Evgeni Malkin
Keeper 3: Sergei Gonchar
Keeper 4: Marc-Andre Fleury
Keeper 5:
Keeper 6:

Say you take Florida and decided you want to keep only the 1 required player, so you keep Nathan Horton.

That means that in the Draft, Pittsburgh won't have a draft pick in rounds 2-3-4 but you would. Since there are only 20 teams playing, the teams that were not selected will have their players released into the general players pool and you can take them in that round.

It actually works out pretty well and people tend to get more of their favorite players.

terry you are way late. sorry buddy but the 20 teams are filled. keep in touch with bourque in case a GM backs out or something
