"Beer Cup" Inline Hockey Tournament @ Parkway Arena 8/9 & 8/10: Cash Prize!

The Beer Cup is a tradition at the Parkway Arena and it will continue in the years to come. The Beer Cup is an adult inline hockey tournament hosted by Parkway Arena in which the winning teams receive a mini-keg trophy and multiple cases of beer awarded to the winning team's captain. BEER CUP Hockey Tournament:
August 9th & 10th
$375 per team
4-game guarantee + at least one playoff game
Games will start at 10am on saturday, wrap at 10pm on saturday night, and the entire tourney will be over by approx. 3pm on sunday afternoon.
Three, 12 minute periods per game
All teams make playoffs
Teams will be split into Gold & Silver Divisions for playoffs
Captain must be 21 years of age or older to receive prize
Beer Cup Mini-keg trophy (full of beer) & cases of beer to the tournament Champions
$375 CASH to the winning team in the Gold Division
New Stanley Cup style "Beer Cup" trophy that will be engraved with the winners at each event (also being backdated with past winners)

We are also working on getting a hotel sponsor w/ extemely cheap rooms for the event in addition to other sponsors at the tournament. If there are enough teams entered, we will have a small Pro Shop on location for the event as well.

Beer Pong Tournament @ The Beer Cup Hockey Tournament!!!
As a new twist to the Beer Cup, we will offer the 1st ever Parkway Arena Beer Pong Tournament!! There will obviously be restrictions due to laws and liability. The Beer Pong Tournament will begin AFTER the hockey games are completed on Saturday, August 9th @ approx. 10pm. Beer Pong teams are required to have the following:

An exit plan (Cab, Designated Driver listed and signed on their Roster, or Stay Over)
Bring Your Own Beer
ID for all participants as proof of legal drinking age
The Tournament will surely offer tons of fun for everyone involved. The tournament will follow a round-robin format followed by single elimination playoffs. The winner of the tournament will win a trophy and $100 cash prize. Below are the details on the tournament:

$20 per team to enter
4-game minimum guaranteed
Playing Rules will be released the night of the tournament. Rules will be pretty basic. Balls come back on double-sinks, no swatting, no leaning, etc.
You are NOT required to play in the hockey tournament to participate in the Beer Pong Tournament

Glad to see you're innovating and trying something new. I feel the standard, boring, ho-hum tournament doesn't draw quite like it used to.

I've considered giving captains a case of beer as a "thank-you" gift, but always had liability concerns.

I'd like to know how this works out for ya. Best of luck.
