Chassis/Skate Problem

I've been playing goal for a long time, and for the past 8 years or so, I've used the same pair of skates: Ferland 9966 Gold. Yes, they are old. Heavy, and old. So old that the chassis is two separate pieces riveted together, and when I had to get them fixed at the pro-shop years back, they needed bolts to reattach them to the boot. And due to their age, the chassis is all dented, bent, and broken to the point where my wheels barely spin.

So, I need opinions. I want a chassis that is 1) Strong, 2) straight set-up (not hi-low), 3) available, as I can hardly find listings for them online to purchase anywhere. I don't care about weight, as I currently am playing with Franken-skate, so anything will be an improvement.

If anyone has good suggestions as to what to get and where to get it, please let me know!

PS - I have no interest in getting goalie roller skates. I want a player boot with a straight frame. Thanks in advance for the help!

Go to the goaliestore.com bulletin board and check the classifieds for Sure-Grip chassis. There's usually someone on there selling a pair. Actually, I would ask Leaferguy on here about his setup because I think he uses those frames and might be able to advise on how/where to get your hands on them easiest and possibly cheapest.

If you would be willing to go to a five wheel frame, here is the Labeda Predator goalie chassis that could be mounted to a player boot.

It's lower profile, uses smaller wheels and is sturdy enough to take a decent beating.

Here is a Sure-Grip H-505 four wheel chassis for sale at Hockey Monkey. It could also be setup with smaller wheels or full size player wheels and like Ryan said, is a very sturdy.

That's not cause they are cheaply made, it's cause Sure-Grip went out of business a long time ago and they are probably left overs in stock. Can't beat that price and check out the bullet points, just what you are looking for.

Just realized that those Sure-Grips are only left in small (H-505) and medium (H-505 and H-305). Here is a link to goaliemonkey.com's sizing chart but there isn't specifics on the Sure-Grips. Hopefully you are under a size 11 boot and can get away with a medium frame. For $15 its worth a shot.
