    NARCh's Collegiate All Stars

Well I am at least glad the Southeast was able to get a team. Those rosters are pretty solid minus the SE.

    SECRHL:
    Jeff Cohen- Central Florida
    Gianfranoc Richter- Central Florida
    Robert Harrison- University of Tampa
    Steve Regan- University of Tampa
    Jeff Kotcher- University of Tampa
    Steve Ruhmel- University South Florida
    Guy Antonacci- University of Tampa
    Roberto Richter- Broward CC

I mean absolutely no offense to the people on this list. But are you serious? This list NEEDS to be followed up with an explanation. I REALLY don't want to sound like a jerk...even though I am affraid I will be looked at that way. This list represents some stars and some "good" players. Shouldn't they all be stars?

Shouldn't this list represent more of the SE stat leaders?

And the goalie...lets put aside the fact that Richter was working with one of the better teams in the SE, but even with that fact, he doesn't even show up on the stat leader boards unless you look at DIII only (and the SE only has ONE DIII team).

Again, no offense...but are this really the SE ALL-STAR team?

No UF players? They had a pretty strong team this year. Hmm.... #1 in the division and they don't send a single player?

I think more teams should be represented also...but that is a side note.

i agree with you buddy its pretty sad when you see four guys from a division two team on the all star roster. I put up solid numbers this year and i consider myself one of the better defenders in the se and i don't see why any other teams were even asked if they wanted to go. I trip to san jose via jetblue aint that expensive. Anyways its pretty much a joke. Good luck hope you represent us well.

Supposedly...only 4 teams submitted the players they wanted to nominate for the SE allstar team to Ed. Therefore he didnt have much to choose from. Also, I looked up flights to San Jose and couldnt find one for under 550 dollars flying out of Savannah on the days that the tournament took place. It is what it is. It will be just like last year, except last year we had no excuse...the tourny was in florida.

Not pointing fingers...but knowing that e-mail is not always reliable, if I sent out a survey to 20+ people and only 4 responded, I would either send it again or pick up the phone.

Then why don't you (and this goes out to not just you, but anyone who is complaining about this) volunteer your time for next season? I'm sure (speaking from my experience with the ECRHA here, not for the league or any region) that they could use a hand with stuff like this....

Every year people work hard at forming this bonus tournament for players who do nothing more than show up to play, and every year some uninformed person finds fault with the work... Step up and do a better job if you think you can do so... Everyone would benefit. And if you crash and burn, at least you have some information to base your complaints against in the future...

I don't doubt the work involved (been there). I just think that if the league is going to send a second line "all-star*" team, then they also owe an explanation as to why the first line players are not rostered. We do the same thing with nationals. The "first picks" are posted and the alternates are listed next.

I promise you if this was done, these posts would say "too bad joe blow couldn't make it...rather than 'April Fool's Day', etc."

I'm sorry I'm just absolutely baffled how anyone can feel entitled to an explanation when they did nothing to contribute to the solution besides ask repeatedly for a result they were enevitably going to be unhappy with....

I know that UF was contacted personally and nobody could make it due to internships and work. Thats why they are not on the list.
The emails were sent out to the correct addresses. It is the team's representatives responsibilty to answer them and make sure their own information is correct.
Brian Napert was going but backed out. Richter was an alternate
It was obvious that people were going to have a problem with this team, and I think next year it should be changed. But if NARCh comes back to Florida like it usually does every other year, there will be no problem getting an elite team represented.

I know for sure that - no TECO/aka Germain Arena in 2009 for NARCh.

Where? Your guess is as good as mine.

NARCh usually announces the next site for next year around this time of year, so it should be interesting if it is not at Germain.

NARCh is definitely NOT in Florida next year!
