Hockey in Taiwan has been developing for the last 5 years. We are an inline hockey club with 50 players on our roster aged 4 to 15 with half of the players having played for 2-4 years (year round week in week out). We are clearly taking the next step from a small amateur club to a Professional Hockey School, the right person for this position will take our program to the next level by setting out and implementing a development path for our players, club and Hockey in Taiwan.
The ideal person we are looking for would be single and over 30 years old, have extensive experience coaching/managing teams and able to win the respect and confidence of players and parents. You should enjoy teaching all age groups, and feel confident teaching in an environment where perhaps none but likely a couple of the players can understand English.
We also run an inline skating school and would give preference to some one capable and interested in teaching inline skating classes to kids outside of the Hockey (this would also enable us to increase the basic remuneration package).
Our initial offer is US$1,200 per month for 15 hours per week (this salary is equivalent to that of a company accountant in Taiwan and enough to live quite comfortably). After a 2 month trial period we would like to sign a 12 month contract, at the completion of which we will reimburse your air ticket and offer a bonus based on team performances and the retaining and recruitment of new players.
